This pattern is featured as the plate coin in KM with little to no information about its origin. The design is later featured on the 8 Escudos KM 105. A silvered Brass version with an intact soldered ring is known (cf. Stack's Bowers Galleries August 2020 Auction, 5 August 2020, 21112)
